The Ministry of the Interior has declared that vote tallies will be collected by police and gendarmerie forces from ballot boxes and compiled in an Excel file that will be submitted to the ministry’s Security and Emergency Coordination Center (Güvenlik ve Acil Durumlar Koordinasyon Merkezi).
The ministry had previously requested that the Supreme Election Council (Yuksek Secim Kurulu) share identifying details about each ballot box with the Security and Emergency Coordination Center. The council refused because “elections belong to election committees… this Center has nothing to do with them.”
The collection and counting of ballots is by definition a duty handled officially and traditionally by the Supreme Election Council.
CHP MP Mahmut Tanal tweeted the news that a CHP election bureau in Sanliurfa province was shot at by assailants “guided by inept cowards who cannot meet us in a fair election, or show their faces among our people.“ They also tore down campaign posters hanging throughout the city.

CHP and AKP supporters set up election stands directly facing each other across Kahramanmaras Street in central Trabzon province. People at the CHP stand began chanting “Justice!“ Those at the AKP stand chanted in response, “Recep Tayyip Erdogan!“
The CHP stand was packed up and its 30 attendants began moving towards their election bureau. On the way, they ran into a large crowd headed down the street shouting “Recep Tayyip Erdogan!“ The two groups exchanged blows as they passed each other.
The CHP party branch in Denizli province filed a formal complaint to the Directorate of Elections (Secim Kurulu Baskanligi) regarding the flying of an AKP banner on the same pole as a Turkish flag in front of an official building. The complaint was accepted by the Directorate, but the decision was appealed by AKP and MHP party members.
To address the situation, someone decided to remove the Turkish flag from the pole, leaving only the white flag of the AKP.
The voting window for Turkish residents of foreign countries is closed. Votes cast are on their way back to Türkiye.
